Now is the time for Real Change ~ Peace for Iraq!
Now is a time of transitions, a time of new beginnings, and a time of possibilities for real change.
However, we know that real change only comes as the people inform and pressure the government to do the right thing: Establish a Comprehensive Peace Plan for Iraq and withdraw ALL U.S. troops and mercenaries from Iraq.
The new Obama-Biden Administration must hear from the people now!
Learn what the Obama-Biden Administration has in mind to “end the war in Iraq.”
Then we encourage you to write to the Obama-Biden Transition Team to let the new President know that real change in Iraq is a complete withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq (not just a drawdown of forces that will then be sent to Afghanistan).

Inauguration Action Center
McPherson Square, Washington D.C.
On January 20th, there will be a Peace Presence in Washington, D.C. as the Inauguration of Barack Obama takes place. Congress and the new Administration must hear from the people about the continuing need to end the U.S. occupation of Iraq.
Reaching out to the more than two million people expected in D.C. - with new ideas for the direction of this country and ways that they can get involved, Peace Action, Amnesty International, the Washington Peace Center, and many other progressive groups have organized an all-day Inauguration Action Center.
Meet at McPherson Square, 15th Street NW (between K and I Streets) anytime on January 20th.
Heated tents, lots of information, and literature on ways to get involved and make the real change we want to see will be provided.
Signs calling for Peace and expressing our hopes for the future will be available. Come pick up a sign and proclaim the message!
Volunteers are needed to be part of street teams to hand out signs and flyers to ensure that the Inauguration crowds leave inspired and with the resources they need to get involved.
