National Press Conference and Witness at the White House
Join veterans, and religious, political, and peace and justice leaders as we begin the Week of Action, highlighting the breadth and diversity of the hundreds of local actions taking place around the country—all calling for an end to the Occupation of Iraq.

Pre-Action and Prep meeting for nonviolent civil resistance: Sept. 20, 6:00pm at Camp Democracy.
Speakers include:
Rep. John Lewis, (D-GA);
Kelly Dougherty, Co-founder and National Chair of Iraq Veterans Against the War;
Rev. Lennox Yearwood, CEO of the Hip-Hop Caucus;
Raed Jarrar, Director of the Iraq Project at Global Exchange;
Medea Benjamin, co-founder of CodePINK and Global Exchange;
Leslie Cagan, National Co-Chair of United for Peace and Justice;
with many more veterans, peace and justice, and civil society leaders also on hand to answer questions.
Followed by a public signing and presentation of the Declaration of Peace to the White House (including arrest scenario*).
