Our purpose is to bring attention to the Declaration of Peace. We call on Congress, http://www.congress.org, to establish a concrete and rapid timetable for an end to the US war in Iraq for a peace process designed to create the conditions for security, reconstruction, and reconciliation. This plan must include:  Establishment of an Iraqi-led international peace process to create a roadmap to peace and security,  Bringing US troops home,  Closure of the US bases in Iraq,  Reconstruction and reconciliation in Iraq , and  Creation of a peace dividend by diverting funding for war to meeting human needs at home and abroad.
