Demonstration for Peace in Huntington Beach

“Declare Peace” Thursday evening at the intersection of Beach and Edinger Blvds., Huntington Beach, CA. Our purpose was to bring attention to the Declarartion of Peace.

It was a very positive response from those passing by us. There were 3 counter demonstrators, a few others with signs not consistent with the our purpose (I spoke with the ones I saw and wlecomed them to participate and explained that we were standing for peace and not against any personalities most were agreeable, one left and others stood on an opposite corner). There was a legal observer from the Lawyers Guild, no mainstream media, one student journalist. It was generally a positive response.

The question now - is there a sense to continue this vigil? Shall we do it once a week for a month and evaluate it at the end of a month? Are there a couple of us willing to take on some leadership if we have a sense to continue? Please let me know with an immediate reply to these questions, .
