The Iraq Moratorium was launched on Friday, September 21, the International Day of Peace and the culmination of the Declaration of Peace’s Days of Decision week of nationwide actions.
From now until the end of the US war in Iraq, the Iraq Moratorium will be held the third Friday of every month across the United States.

In Chicago, 70 people participated in a Die-In in the Federal Plaza in downtown Chicago. Donning shrouds and symbolizing the daily death and destruction in Iraq, the participants lay lifeless for an hour beginning at noon while the names of the Iraq dead were read aloud. The Chicago event was organized by the American Friends Service Committee [2].
