If a concrete and rapid plan for an end to the US war and occupation in Iraq has not been legislated by September 21, people across the US will declare peace by engaging in one or more of the following peaceful public actions. Nonviolent resistance action at the US Senate in Washington DC. Organized by the National Campaign for Nonviolent Resistance and many representatives of the interfaith community.
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Meeting place: Upper Senate Park at Constitution Avenue and Delaware Avenue
10:30: Interfaith ceremony and rally
11:30: Interfaith religious procession around the Capitol, followed by peace presence and nonviolent resistance, including risking arrest at the US Senate in Washington DC.
